About Zip Books

Zip Books is a service for patrons to request books and audiobooks that are not part of Camarillo Public Library’s collection. Zip Books requests are delivered to your home using Amazon Prime.

Guidelines

Patrons must have a Camarillo Public Library card in good standing. Zip Books are limited to the following formats: print, large-print, audiobooks. Books published within the past 12 months are not eligible as a Zip Books request. Only one Zip Book request at a time. When returning Zip Books, hand directly to library staff and notify them you are returning a Zip Book.  Zip Books are mailed directly to your home using Amazon Prime within 2-3 days after staff approval. Zip Books are on loan for three weeks. The Library reserves the right not to fulfill requests.

The Zip Books project is supported in whole or in part by funding provided by the State of California, administered by the California State Library.

How to Request and Return a Zip Book

Step One: Fill out the Zip Books Request Form below.

Step Two: Library staff will email or call to let you know what day to expect the book to arrive from Amazon or whether it is not available. Please allow 10 business days to process your request.

Step Three: When finished with your Zip Book, return item at any public service desk in the Library and notify library staff that you are returning a Zip Book.
