Esper A. Petersen Homework Center
The Esper A. Petersen Homework Center at the Camarillo Public Library is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Esper A. Petersen Foundation. The Center is a place for elementary and middle school students to understand and complete their assignments and lessons, and to gain confidence in their ability to succeed in school.
Homework Center Hours
The Homework Center is open during the academic school year. It is also closed during Pleasant Valley School District closures, such as spring and winter breaks.
Monday and Wednesday | 4 pm–6 pm |
Welcome
If you are in kindergarten through eighth grade, you are invited to use the Homework Center to work on homework, projects, and other school assignments. Public, private and homeschooled students are all welcome!
Volunteer Homework Coaches are available to assist students. However, these are not one-on-one tutoring sessions. Contact the Homework Center Coordinator for information on local tutoring options.
Make a Difference in the Life of a Child — Volunteer!
The Homework Center relies on volunteer Homework Coaches to assist students. Our coaches include high school and college students, retirees, and other qualified adults.
Volunteering as a Homework Coach is a rewarding experience. Students and their parents are very appreciative of the help coaches provide. As a volunteer coach, you will gain valuable life experience. It’s also a great way to fulfill your required volunteer service commitment.
Consider applying today! Volunteer forms are available at the Circulation desk. You can also contact the Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected] or (805) 383-5682.
