Thanks to generous support from the California State Library, the Camarillo Public Library is once again offering Zip Books. Zip Books are print or audio books that are delivered to you free and directly from Amazon. Once you’re finished reading them, you return them to the library, and we place them in our collection.
Tell me more! What are Zip Books?
The Zip Books program allows the library to deliver print or audio books directly to your home. The material will be loaned for three weeks, at which point you’ll return your Zip Books to the Adult Services Reference Desk on the 2nd floor of the library.
That’s great! It sounds too good to be true.
There are a few rules to the Zip Books program:
- Your Camarillo Public Library card must be in good standing.
- Titles must be at least one-year old.
- Only one Zip Book may be requested or checked out at a time.
- The titles must be available on Amazon.
- The requested materials should not already be available at the library.
Where can I order a Zip Book?
Please use the form below to make a Zip Book request. Remember to visit our catalog to see if we have already purchased the item and to visit Amazon to see if the item is available for purchase.
How do I return a Zip Book?
After your 3-week loan is over, please place the Amazon receipt inside of the book and return it to the Adult Services Reference Desk on the 2nd floor of the library. As a reminder, failure to adhere to the rules and guidelines of the Zip Book program may result in the loss of Zip Book borrowing privileges.
