- Park in a numbered space located in the library parking lot once you’ve received notification that your hold is ready for pickup.
- Call (805) 388-5222 and give library staff your name, library card number, and your parking space number.
- Stay in your vehicle until staff have safely delivered items.
- Pick up your items and enjoy!
Contact the library with any questions or review the FAQ below:
Where do I return items and when do they get checked in?
Items can be returned using the drive-up book drops or the lobby book drops during open hours.
How do I know my requests are ready to pick up?
Please allow for at least one full business day to process requests. Patron accounts are updated online or you may call the library to check on the status of your requests. Notifications will also be sent by email, phone, or text.
How many items may I check out at one time?
Due to high demand, hold requests and check outs are limited to 10 items.
Are my library books checked out?
Once you arrive at the library and contact library staff, held items will then be checked out to your account. A receipt will be included with your items listing the due date.
When are my items due back?
All items are due in three weeks.
May I still use curbside service even if my account has fines?
This service is offered to all patrons regardless of outstanding fines.
Where do I park?
Please park in a numbered space located in the lot behind the drive-up book drops. Accessible parking spaces are available.
What if I don’t have my library card?
When you call to let library staff know you are parked in a spot designated for pickup, provide your driver’s license ID number. Library staff will then be able to access your account and check out the items on hold.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Face coverings are encouraged, as they are recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in all public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
Is curbside service safe?
The library adheres to all industry and workplace guidance from the California Department of Public Health, Ventura County Public Health Department, and the City of Camarillo. This includes the adoption of a written COVID-19 prevention plan, physical distancing to the maximum extent possible, frequent handwashing and regular cleaning and disinfection, and training staff on COVID-19 prevention.
