[Camarillo, Calif.] — Camarillo Public Library is providing scholarships to adults in Camarillo to earn a high school diploma online and gain career skills.
Through a partnership with Career Online High School (COHS), Camarillo Public Library empowers adults while earning their high school diploma and a career certificate. The library grants scholarships through its Adult Literacy Center. The fully online high school program provides a 24/7 online classroom, personal academic coaches and real-world career training.
“Camarillo Library offers a safe and supportive environment for all learners. Our Adult Literacy Center is thrilled to offer Career Online High School to our community,” said Library Director Mandy Nasr. “Students from Career Online High School will receive support from Camarillo Public Library staff as well as Career Online High School academic coaches. Together, we can help students achieve their goals.”
According to the 2022 US Census Bureau survey, approximately 4,000 adults over the age of 25 in Camarillo lack a high school diploma, making it difficult to apply to college or advance in a career.
A fully online program accredited by Cognia/SACS/NCA/NWAC, COHS has partnered with more than 1,800 library locations across the country.
